There were still 3 other things for them to look at and they were still going to check the door modules for codes. Several days later I realized I left something in the truck I needed for work and went to the dealership to retrieve it.

Jan 30, 2012 · thats entry not keyless start like the newer mondeo. firstly buy either a working second hand or even new remote, turn your key think its 4 times on and off and on the forth time there will be a beep from the dash, remove the key then press a button on the remote then you will hear a second beep indicating it was initalised ok.

Sep 23, 2020 · Quick Update - in case anyone ELSE gets a similar problem. After checking the fuse to the handles (On Cmax it's fuse 3 in boot fuse box) & changing it since it was discolloured & I couldn't see the 'link' clearly) - Phoned up Local Ford Dealer & asked if it was possible for advice over phone - otherwise may have to book car in. Got passed onto a nice bloke called Peter (after 1/2hr hanging on) 2. Keyless entry failure. This is a fairly common Mk4 problem, though it shows intermittently in affected models. The keyless entry and ignition system may stop working, leaving drivers locked out of their vehicles.
